It’s troubling to hear that the mayor, who also serves on the JEDCO board, is meeting with the executive director of JEDCO, the city attorney, and the JEDCO attorney to discuss the legality of the board. How can we expect an unbiased discussion when those involved have direct stakes in the outcome?

This reeks of a conflict of interest!Apparently, backdating records is their way of ratifying the situation. If that’s the case, a forensic audit is desperately needed to ensure the board has truly been acting in the best interests of ALL citizens.

As Ms. Angel McCroskey pointed out, Eddie Hopkins, the JEDCO board of directors has had ample opportunities to bring the appointment and reappointment of board members to the council's attention but as evident in Ms Renée Harrington’s research he has failed to do so for several years.
